The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, has said Zamfara State is now accessible and ready for global partnerships.
The deputy Sec-Gen of the UN noted that improved infrastructure would boost economic activities, adding: “When it is finished, it will revive the businesses and markets around it, and hopefully, by then, we will witness more peace.”
Amina further said the UN was encouraged by the state government’s development plans.
She also stressed the need to change negative perceptions about the state.
Mohammed assured that the UN would support the state’s efforts.
Governor Lawal, in his presentation, said the state was implementing a Six-Point Rescue Agenda to drive inclusive growth.
