Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has tasked all 2026 intending pilgrims to pray for lasting peace, unity, and security in Katsina State and Nigeria.

Radda made the call during the official farewell and send-off ceremony for Katsina State pilgrims departing for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He re-affirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, well-coordinated, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj operation.

He said “Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, and today is indeed a special and blessed day for all of us. Those you see here are among the fortunate ones chosen by Allah to perform this sacred obligation,”

The Governor further announced that the Katsina State Government will cover the cost of Hadaya for all intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise, as part of its continued commitment to pilgrims’ welfare.
He also disclosed that each pilgrim will receive a $500 allowance to support basic needs while in the Holy Land.
The Governor added that a total of 200 officials have been deployed to ensure effective coordination, welfare support, and spiritual guidance throughout the pilgrimage.

He said: “All have been carefully selected and supported to provide spiritual guidance, medical care, and logistical assistance throughout the pilgrimage.
