Cleric urges pilgrims to shun vulgarity while performing Hajj

A Muslim cleric, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa has urged Muslims currently performing pilgrimage in the Holy land to diligently respect the great signs of Allah as the they are set to begin the Hajj rites today, the eighth of Zul-hijja.

Sheikh Daurawa, who was speaking with DCL Hausa in the Holy land, said even the Holy Qur’an describes doing that as major signs of piety.

The cleric said the pilgrims are expected to spend the night at Muna, stressing the nned for them to get preoccupied with the remembrance of Allah through recommended forms of azkar.

The Kano state Hisba Commmader-general, who further advised the pilgrims to guard their utterances against vulgarity, called on them to remember their parents, family members and leaders in their prayers.

Sheikh Daurawa expressed satisfaction with the way pilgrims have been conducting themselves at Muna in the last few years, attributing the positive development to commendable efforts by Saudi authorities and the Muslim clerics, who tirelessly guide the pilgrims on the best way to perform this important pillar of Islam.
