An All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain in Adamawa state, Abdurrahman Buba Kwacham has rejected the idea of adopting consensus in the party’s primaries.
Kwacham, who was speaking exclusively with DCL Hausa, said consensus will do more harm to APC than good.
The Mubi-born politician re-affirmed his determination to demand for justice in the APC primaries, noting that he would not succumb to any consensus arrangement, as according to him, doing so will make his supporters to doubt as to whether he was settled.
Kwacham, who described consensus in primaries as a dangerous trend, appealed for a levelled playing ground for all aspirants.
The traditional title holder of Sarkin Fulanin Mubi, dismissed the idea that open balloting can not hold in the northern senatorial zone (his zone) due insecurity, arguing that if the so-called insecurity can not stop politicians from touring the zone, it can not stop primaries from holding.
