Kano state chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Hussaini Mairiga has said the party is now intact in the state.
Hussaini Mairiga, who stated this while speaking to DCL Hausa in Kano, added that the development followed the resolution of differences that arose as a result of the movement of former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the party.
Mairiga attributed his earlier statement to a slight misunderstanding and communication gap, noting that a meeting between Kwankwaso, Rabi’u Sabo Bakin Zuwo and the national leader of the party, former Bayelsa Governor, Senator Seriaki Dickson, resolved and confirmed him as the chairman of the party in the state.
The Kano NDC chairman observed that contrary to his mistaken notion, he found former governor Kwankwaso to be a just and considerate leader, by conceding the chairmanship position to him, despite the fact tht he was asked to produce the chairman from his side.
Mairiga, who now wears a red cap to match, described Kwankwaso as his leader, promising that as a true party member, he will remain loyal.
